Does **YOUR** helicopter "Need a massage
to get it flying as it should ?

I AM AFRAID IT ALMOST CERTAINLY DOES...

AND THIS IS WHY I AM TELLING YOU THIS...
It is a sad but true fact that a great many RC helicopters, especially newly purchased ones
are NOT set up correctly, despite that terrible "RTF" claim made on most of their boxes.

Many of you may have charged the helicopter's battery, fitted it to the helicopter and
then put it carefully on the ground and increased the throttle gently.

What happened - Yep, it got off the ground OK,  but then tilted to one side
and crashed into the ground with bits flying off it in all directions !!

BECAUSE IT IS SIMPLY NOT SET UP CORRECTLY !!

This means YOUR chances of learning to hover your new helicopter are severely reduced,
and this is the major reason that most first time pilots crash their new helicopter
almost immediately they lift it off the ground for the every first time.

So why don't you let
ME do a low cost, full check over (massage) and set the helicopter up properly, (and radio system if needed), including performing a full test flight.

IT WILL THEN FLY PROPERLY AS IT SHOULD (and can)
and you will then have a very much better chance of learning
to fly your new helicopter without endless crashes.

Are you into MRC's (Multi Rotor Craft) - Great - I am too

Do you "GO DIZZY" trying to learn to fly an R/C helicopter ?

Instead of struggling, why not spend a day with me and I can start
you off using my Hover-EZE training rig to let you get used to the cyclic control
movements that are so important to hovering a helicopter, but easily and safely.

Once you have progressed reasonably on the Hover-EZE rig I will let you
fly free on training legs and hopefully by the end of the day
you should be able to hold a reasonable hover.

Hi there, and a very warm WELCOME to my personal website dedicated to anything & everything to do with Radio Controlled Helicopters. My main aim over time is to strive to make this the most useful single source of helicopter information for all types of Collective Pitch R/C Helicopters currently available, and everyone out there, including you, can help me to make it just that. One of my own scale helicopters - a Trex 500 in an Align Hughes 500D fuselage...

Here is one of my own fleet of helicopters, a Trex 500 in an Align Hughes 500D
fibreglass fuselage with a whole bunch of armaments and
surveillance units added made up from my scrap box.

I have also recently started a brand new helicopter FORUM that is there for anyone to ask questions, provide answers, ideas or anything else to do with collective pitch helicopter

You can download all / any of my FREE tutorials covering building & rebuilding, setting up and flying Collective Pitch Radio control helicopters. All of the tutorials are in PDF format.

In addition to the tutorials, there are a great many other items that I hope will be of interest to you as an R/C helicopter pilot or builder, as this site is destined to be THE ONE STOP location for all those hard to find bits of information, plus links to good sources of parts and other information.

The Tips & Tricks section has loads of really useful information covering everything to do with helicopters, so make sure you don't miss it. CLICK ON THIS LINK TO GO THERE - Tips & Tricks

Regular visitors to this web site may notice that the Interceptor 400 (INT400) is now missing.  There is a very good reason for this.  I recently purchased for a client of mine a full kit from Heliguy , who are the ONLY distributors of the INT400, but when the kit arrived I was horrified to find that they now only supply the cheap and nasty Esky servos with the kit instead of the original Acer Lab servos, plus the ESC provided was a Hobbyking 40 amp OPTO device, which DOES NOT PROVIDE POWER to the Receiver !!!  That means I have to charge even more to add a BEC into the mix.  Other parts had poor threads that would not hold, so due to all these problems I have been foprced to drop the INT400 entirely as it is no longer of a suitable quality for me to recommend it.

In it's place I will be recommending the Blade 450 3D and Blade 450X flybarless machines, which come with a BeastX Spektrum radio system that makes them VERY STABLE.

So I now specialise in setting up the Belt CP, Blade 450 and the Copter-X / Align Trex range, all of which are perfect training helicopters for new pilots wanting to get into this fascinating and absorbing hobby.

I am a specialist in the supply / fitting / set up of Alien Command standard and advanced, and can retrofit these to most helicopters of 400 or larger size. Alien Command will level your helicopter whenever you release the cyclic control, even if it is upside down, which gives you time to decide how to recover it if you are close to loosing control. It is a great help in learning to hover, learning sideways in hovering and also nose in flying.  CLICK HERE for more details on this great "auto pilot" system.

I can also setup FBL (flybarless) helicopters, including setting up Align 3G and 3GX, Skookum, Mikado V Bar, Helicommand Rigid and others.  I can provide (and fit) good multi blade heads for scale helicopters. CLICK HERE for more information on FBL and multi blade system

I usually have some GOOD second hand (reconditioned) helicopters at very reasonable prices for learners to use to learn to hover and fly circuits etc. To do so I need reasonable condition second hand helicopters that I can repair, refurbish or whatever and then recycle them to new pilots.

So if you have such a helicopter lying around, please think about donating it or even, depending on the type and condition, I may be able to offer to purchase a few of them from you - if the price is right so that I can recondition them and then sell them on to new pilots at a reasonable price!

PLEASE NOTE - I no longer sell helicopter parts of any type, although I can of course source whatever you parts you may need...

Why not check me out on FaceBook ?

If you have any comments on anything on this site, please do let me know, as I always welcome comments, ideas, suggestions, critiques, corrections etc.

I regularly frequent various RC helicopter forums, such as Heliguy.com, as well as some others that I visit less frequently such as rcheliaddict.co.uk.  In all forums my handle is CHOPPERADDICT, or if I could not get that, I use CHOPPRADDICT (without the E) or CHOPPER-ADDICT.

Why not check in to these forums and join in the fun of helping others in  the RC helicopter fraternity...

I use the avatar shown above in all forums, so look out for me when you are visiting them.

You can even take part yourself by helping me to help other pilots by donating any old heli parts, nuts, bolts, screws, washers, bearings, 'O' rings, even tools, in fact anything at all that you have and no longer want or need to the LOW COST repair service at chopperaddict.co.uk.
