SAFETY  Ensuring that tail blades on the Interceptor 400 are mounted securely

During May & June of 2010, ?I had a series of tail blade issues with the Interceptor kits I was building for other people.  The problem was that at around 50% throttle or slightly more, one tail blade would literally fly off at hi speed.  Naturally, this is potentially pretty dangerous.

After a lot of discussion on the Heliguy Forum, where other people confirmed that they had also seen this problem, The problem was identified as being due to the 2mm mounting bolts that fit the tail blades to the grips being TOO SHORT, allowing the threaded side to "let go", which then allowed the blade root to flex, breaking the hole in the blade grip on the other side.

The solution is very simple -
USE LONGER 2MM BOLTS
& PREFERABLY PUT A NUT ON THE OTHER END (THREAD LOCKED)

I HOPE THIS SAVES ANYONE ELSE FROM EXPERIENCING A TAIL BLOW UP

Please feel free to rate this Tips & Tricks entry to help
me to ensure these are as good as possible - Thanks!
